We are currently seeking two short term field surveyors to join the Measurement and Evaluation Team to assist with a variety of assessment projects, including our largest annual pupil assessment project, for a one month period. This project involves assessing children who are in class levels ranging from Nursery to Class 4 at our Bridge academies, using tablet devices.
As a field surveyor, you will attend a weeklong training to learn how to conduct these assessments and then visit Bridge academies around Kenya to assess Bridge pupils between Pre-Unit and Class 4. Additional responsibilities will include other administrative tasks to ensure that projects run smoothly.
The ideal candidate for this position will be detail-oriented and well-organised. Additionally, the candidate should have experience conducting fieldwork – either for data collection / research purposes, or for community outreach – and understand how to work with primary school pupils.
Field surveyors will report to the Measurement & Evaluation Manager.

Education and Qualifications
- BA in Social Sciences, Economics, Education, or any related field
Experience Profile
- Understanding of both English and Kiswahili in order to administer the assessment to pupils
- Experience conducting fieldwork – either for research, data collection, and / or community outreach
- Experience working with children of primary school age. Experience working with children in Nursery and Pre-Unit a plus.
- Understanding of how to work in different contexts: urban slums and rural areas.
- Ability to easily navigate public transportation systems around Kenya.
