Job description



JOB PURPOSE:

To support and coordinate all activities across all contributing functions (competencies) in the formulation, collation and timely submission of a quality and compliant bid response in accordance with the agreed bid management process and client expectations.

JOB OBJECTIVES:



  • To consistently adhere to corporate and legal governance.

  • To assist the opportunity owner in qualifying client requests to ensure effort is only applied to valid and viable opportunities.

  • To coordinate the qualification and validation of requests and identify competencies’ ability and commitments to deliver in meeting client expectations.

  • To document and coordinate all agreements and commitments from contributing parties in the formulation of bid responses.

  • To take ownership of and pro-actively escalate on non-delivery of commitments within own area of control.

  • To consolidate inputs received (costing, technical designs, T&Cs, service descriptions, etc) and construct standard corporate information requirements to formulate quality and compliant bid responses according to BCX governance standards.

  • To support the planning, organisation and monitoring of all aspects of the Bid process.

  • To ensure final bid production (formatting, grammar checks and printing) are completed within agreed timelines. CUSTOMERS:

Desired Skills and Experience


JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Technical: Competent contributor that can work without supervision in the Operations area, with a minimum experience of between 2 and 4 years. Requires detailed knowledge of procedures related to Bid Administrators and limited knowledge of other functions.

Leadership: Worked in a team and supported/guided about 1 -10 specialists or professionals for between 2 and 4 years. Made a strategic contribution by agreeing and setting goals for operating units, supplying and co-ordinating resources for established practices and systems, as well as designing and developing new systems. Experience in decision-making that directly impacted an Operational Area.

Operational: Experience within one main sector of Bid Management. Managed medium sized projects. Had responsibility for budgets at an operational level. Has 2+ years of cross cultural experience.

Stakeholder Engagement: Represented corporate wide groups of internal and external stakeholders on individual contributor level

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:



  • Relevant Qualification (3-years) in Administration and Management or Administration and Management.

  • 2 and 4 years of company specific on-the-job training.
