One of our Clients in the Plastic/polythene Industry is urgently looking for qualified candidates to fill the following positions:
Production Quality Controller/Manager
The main purpose of the job is to ensure and maintain quality standards of the company products and for effective customer service.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop Quality Management Systems to ensure that the company products meet the required quality standards
- Integrate quality control and operations personnel for cross functional interaction to ensure maintenance of product quality
- Monitor and review quality specifications, standards, designed quality systems and procedures
- Establish standardization of products and services by setting up quality specifications, testing procedures and methodologies
- Develop quality inspection for the finished product brands and packaging materials for quality assurance and satisfaction the customers
- Manage the sections’ staff and their performance by ensuring set targets are met and recommended improvements including individual staff development are implemented
- Liaise with marketing team to design and develop appropriate product brands for the market
- Planning and coordinating internal/external assessment for QMS assurance survey. Facilitate improvement actions based on assessment findings.
- Ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
- Establish and monitor critical quality and business process objectives and metrics complementary to corporate policies and goals.
- Drive continuous improvement through effective management of internal quality audits.
- Coordinates external quality system audits
- Develop operating standards (SOP’s) for production operations that meet best practice guidelines.
- Bringing together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree on comprehensive quality procedures.
- This also involves training of the staff on the same.
- Ensure that any problems relating to the product, process and quality are identified and recorded through the non-conformance and both corrective and preventive actions taken.
- Represent the organization’s quality system to customers and external parties.
Qualification & Experience
- Degree in manufacturing and production Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
- At least five years practical experience in manufacturing/production as a section head.
- Over 5 years working experience in Quality Assurance management,
- Strong interpersonal relations
- High integrity
- Knowledge of ISO systems – QMS, Safety, Environmental etc.
- Communication and presentation skills
- Leadership skills
