Job Description


Supporting the Chief Information Officer directly in delivering Technology & Operations’ strategic agenda.


Key Roles & Responsibilities


 Preparing plans, strategies and presentations for specific business initiatives and business critical issues.

 Assisting the management team in performance monitoring and management decision making through provision of timely and consistent reporting.

 Assisting managers in delivering quality customer service through provision of processes and tools support.

 Facilitating coherent internal communication and knowledge sharing.

 Monitoring and tracking business performance, budgets, risk issues and the implementation of other business critical issues using existing MIS and data provided by functional and business support.

 To assist the Departmental Continuity Coordinator (DCC) for T&O to:

o Formulate recovery strategies.

o Develop, maintain, and test BC Plans for T&O.

o Raise awareness of BC planning issues within the departments.

o Report directly to the BCM on BC planning matters.

o Coordinate any inspections by external authorities within the business

 Support the T&O Outserve Champion and drive the Outserve agenda for T&O Kenya.

 Assume role of Project Manager on T&O Projects as assigned by the CIO and ensure their timely delivery.

 Organize key business meetings and monitor follow up actions.

 Work in tandem with HRRM, T&O in staff resourcing.

 Prepare T&O country reviews as when required.

 Demonstrate implementation of STP and automation of workflows.

 To undertake any other specific business projects for T&O.

 Ensure you remain alert to the risk of money laundering and assist in the Bank’ efforts in combating it by adhering to the key principles in relation to: identifying your customer, knowing your customer, reporting suspicions, safeguarding records and not disclosing suspicions to customers.”


Qualifications & Skills


1. University Degree in business related discipline

2.Essential Skills / Aptitude:

3.A strong analytical and technical background.

4.The ability to work closely with senior management in developing strategic initiatives and representing the T&O function.

5. An understanding of the business in terms of our products and customer segments.

6. The incumbent should possess the ability to analyse and interpret data

7. Computer skills are essential: Detailed understanding and use of spreadsheets, preparation of Microsoft PowerPoint presentations; and translation of various metrics and data to visual forms.

8. Creative, confident and professional person with high-levels of drive, ambition and enthusiasm.

9. Strong presentation and communication skills.
Key Measurables:

1.Cost – Achieve cost budget. With a saving of at least 5%.

2.Updated and accurate monthly cost accruals and forecasts.

3.Accuracy and timeliness of reporting.

4. Timely delivery of T&O projects and initiatives.

5. The implementation of at least three STP/automation initiatives annually.

6. Management of head count to budget.
