Job description
- Audit accounts prepared by accounts staff
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Prepare management reports
- Verifying bank reconciliations
- Maintain cash flow
- Advise the management on monetary issues
- Liaise with external auditors
- Ensure that statutory requirements are complied with
- Schedule payments to creditors and maintain a good rapport with them
- Carry out import costing and costing for special jobs
- Supervision and motivation of the accounts department
- Ensure adequate training of the departmental staff
- Authorization of all local payments
- Ensure all accounting records are up to date
- Monitoring Control accounts
- Approving journals
- Any other duties as assigned by management
Desired Skills and Experience
- Undergraduate Business Degree
- Professional Qualification i.e. CPA/ACCA
- 5-10 years experience leading a team of junior accountants
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Time conscious with the willingness to work long hours to meet deadlines
