Marketing Manager – Safari Company
Our client, an upmarket Safari company based in Nairobi, is looking for a Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will be in charge of supervising marketing, reservations, bookings and social media.
Must be a Strategic thinker, have a passion for Safari & wildlife and 10 years of International luxury experience in a similar Marketing role. Potential for growth!
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and implement reservations system.
- Set up and implement marketing strategy.
- Plan and organize all trade shows.
- Set up and implement marketing system.
- Implement and update the social media and website strategy.
- Lead weekly Nairobi office coordination meetings.
- Provide to the Directors a monthly summary of invoices issued for accommodation for that month, namely income for all bookings both those on credit and those on cash basis.
- Develop and maintain all marketing materials.
- Agree with directors on PR and market representation services overseas.
- Prepare for at least two marketing trips per year.
- Quarterly promotion via an e-newsletter to all wholesale agents, clients & relevant media contacts on the database.
- Maintain and supervise agent, ground handler, media and client databases.
- Ensure bed night occupancy remains above 3,400 bed nights per year.
- Ensure representation and membership in relevant industry bodies such as ATTA, KATO, KTF, etc.
Qualifications:
- Must have a marketing related degree or higher education qualification.
- Must have 10 years of international experience in a similar marketing role in the luxury travel industry, preferably the safari travel industry.
- Must be computer literate – Microsoft office & Adobe.
- Must have a passion for safari, upmarket travel & wildlife
- Excellent communication & organizational skills.
- Admin &numeracy skills.
- Good time manager.
Monthly gross salary:Ksh. 212,500 – 255,000/= (Approx. 2,500 – 3,000 USD)depending on experience
