Atlas Copco Job Vacancy in Kenya : Safety, Health, Environment, Quality (SHEQ) and Facilities Manager


Mission


Your mission will cover responsibility over the Integrated Management System and Facilities Management at Atlas Copco Eastern Africa Ltd. In this role you will ensure that the organization maintains the ISO9001, OHSHAS 18001 and IS14001 standards and you will also lead the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) matters in the company. Plant and Property (Facilities) Management also falls under this docket and here you will ensure that all employees operate in a neat, safe and secure environment compliant with government regulations and Atlas Copco’s group standards. You will lead the company’s safety committee and also be responsible for plant and property related purchasing. This role reports to the General Manager.


- Supervise and maintain the integrated certified management system that fulfills the ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001 standards- Lead the SHEQ functions in the organization- Facilities management in compliance with local authority regulations and Atlas Copco Standards.- Be the project leader for new building and related improvement projects- Conduct risk assessments and make recommendations for improvements as required.- Ensure all safety requirements are adhered to by all Employees and Atlas Copco partners- Ensure that the Business Continuity plans are regularly updated and communicated- Implement Company policies on purchasing of all equipment and services- Management representative for annual audits.- Advise and support management to ensure that procedures and policies are implemented, operating effectively and that all personnel are fully engaged and trained in the processes.- Participate in management meetings and responsible for all Safety, Health, Environment and Quality reporting as required by Atlas Copco.- Responsible for workplace adherence to the OHS Act 2007 (Occupational, Health and Safety Act).- Responsible to schedule and chair Safety Committee meetings.- Ensure that Objectives and targets are in line with the Group goals.


Knowledge/Experience requirements


- ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 Implementation and maintenance.- Internal Audit/Lead auditor in any one of the 3 Standards.- Facilities Management


Educational requirements


- University degree, preferably relating to Safety, Health, Environment, Quality or Engineering – Training or experience in facilities management will be an added advantage.


Personality requirements


We are seeking for an individual with strategic and conceptual capabilities as well as a change manager who will work well with all sections of the organization. The successful candidate will also be results-driven have have strong leadership skills. High ethical and moral standards are a must.
