Our client engaged in Civil and General Construction with operations in Kenya, Somalia and Djibouti is seeking qualified Kenyan Citizens to fill the position of Civil Engineer, to be based in Somalia – Mogadishu.
Key Tasks
- Design and interpretation of construction drawings and building plans.
- Supervision of work performance of craftspeople in their various skills.
- Planning and costing of scheduled works.
- Monitoring and evaluation of external contractors on site.
- Responsible for timely action, response, correspondence, to all matters associated with the requirements of the project.
- Responsible to enforce the Quality Control Plan, and implement the quality requirements of the project overruling the cost and time constraints, if necessary, to accomplish the excellence in quality.
- Monitor the progress, quality and cost control of the project.
- Planning and implementation of construction program to achieve timely completion of the project, employment and assignment of adequate resources like: manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors etc.
- Weekly Executive report to management.
- Preparing monthly material usage report.
Requirements
- Civil Engineering Diploma /degree or equivalent through experience.
- Competency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.
- Strong work ethic, professionalism and productivity driven mind set.
- PMI certification would be a benefit.
- 5-10 years relevant working experience.
- Ready to work in hardship areas and be based in Mogadishu
