Job Title: Technical Sales Representative (Steel Company)
Our client is a leading steel manufacturer in Kenya.
The company specializes in Construction and Engineering Steel, Plumbing, Roofing and High Specification Plastics.
We are now looking to hire a Sales person to manage these customers and invite more new customers to join us.
The firm is now seeking a Technical Sales Representative to be responsible for promoting and demonstrating the company’s products to existing and potential customers with the goal of closing sales while attaining a sales target.
This new position has been created in order to support with new business development.
He/she will demonstrate and educate key decision makers in the construction industry (architects, engineers, project managers, etc) on the technical features of the firms products with the objective of convincing them to use the firm’s products in the design and planning for new construction projects.
Main Duties:
- Planning Sales routes.
- Meeting wholesale customers and following up.
- Establishing new clients.
- Closing/range selling.
- Setting and meeting targets.
Desired Skills and Experience
- This job is for you if you possess a degree or diploma in a technical discipline; Professional training in sales will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years successful experience in technical sales especially in the steel industry, building materials or hardware sectors.
- Ideal candidate must be self-directed; highly motivated; strategic thinker; strong computer skills; good verbal and written communication skills.
- You must like working in a manufacturing environment
