Lenovo Product Manager – WECA in Nairobi Kenya



JOB PURPOSE


 Responsible for product portfolio definition, product pricing, promotion budget allocation and identifying internal/external opportunities to develop the marketing campaign plan.


 The 4P manager needs to work closely with Lenovo Operations, the marketing team and channel sales team cross functions.


 The 4P manager works with Management team to analyze and evaluate the market environment to support the business decision. This also includes cooperation with the Operation product team to define the product portfolio plan and manage the Topseller planning tool. As part of the job the 4P manager needs to develop business tools to monitor major KPI’s using these KPI’s to ensure that the right actions are taken in country on promotions, portfolio, channel and marketing drive.


 The 4P manager works independently and takes initiative on complex issues and manages the full forecast for the region down to product and country level. As part of this forecast the 4P manager need monitor the execution of the forecast and drive for higher forecast accuracy moving forward. On sales-Out the role is not only to monitor but to set Target too at a global level and at family level. Monitor on a weekly basis and take corrective action if needed.


 Campaigns Management: At one point of time, the 4P manager has to handle 3 campaigns in parallel (ie: Flush-out promo of previous Campaign, Sales-In of current Campaign and Positioning of future Campaign). S/he needs to be both short-term and mid-term minded. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS


 Setting up and monitoring the major business KPI of country push implementation – these KPI’s must be focusing on forecast accuracy, portfolio management, sales out actions and monitoring and campaign transitioning


 Identifying internal & external opportunities to organize and develop then to execute regional marketing campaign plan


 Manage 13 weeks (quarterly) rolling forecast 13 weeks rolling window the Sales-In and monitor the TSPT(TopSellerPlanningTool) forecast accuracy not only from a global volume standpoint but as well from a family mix standpoint and ensure AUR is on track with expectation. Being able to predict where we expect to land at the end of the quarter from a volume, revenue and GP$ is essential, obviously with the support of Finance.


 Work with marketing team to co-decide quarterly budget allocation plan and develop marketing plan for campaign


 Focus on sales-out he should not only to monitor but to set Target too at a global level and at family level. Monitor on a weekly basis and take corrective action if needed JOB REQUIREMENTS


 Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Sales with a minimum of 3-5 years relevant industry experience.  Having an excellent background in customer services, excellent negotiation as well as time management skills  Flexibility with cross-functional work with various countries. Ability to work in a diverse environment, with both internal and external diverse customers.  Service aggressiveness, ability to build sound relationships, professionalism, ethics and a competitive streak  Understanding of the IT industry and Retail environment  Analytical thinking with sound numerical skills  Computer literacy in MS Office suite, with SAP being an added advantage.  Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with effective presentation skills to both small and large audiences.
