At Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, the Assistant Cost Controller will be assisting the Cost Controller with managing the supply budget and ensuring costs are minimised and correct stock levels are maintained

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Cost Controller, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Effectively manages the supply budget
Ensure supplies are ordered in good time and at the most competitive prices on the market
- Ensure all deliveries are on time and correct
- Assist in the monthly food and beverage inventories count and extension
- Ensure proper storage and issuance of all food and beverage items
- Establish and maintain a cost allocation transfer system for food and beverage supplies to the various departments
- Cost all food and beverage items and where practical, input these costs into the point of sales system
- Prepare monthly potential food and beverage cost of sales
- Prepare and all food and beverage costs on a monthly basis and recommend alternatives to improve costs
- Maintain all stock levels correctly
Employee Status
Qualifications:
- **Previous experience within a 5 star Hotel is an asset
- Strong Mathematical skills
- Experience within the local market is an asset
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Visa Requirements:Must be Eligible to work in Kenya.
