Responsibilities:
- Design, setup and configure complex local software applications
- Design, setup and configure complex wireless networking that supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the local software programs and their workings.
- Provide technical support for premium rated services and bulk SMS for clients on demand.
- Provide technical support for premium and bulk SMS services for the sales team during pitching sessions.
- Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
- Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and support
- Supervising the administration of systems and servers related network to ensure availability of services to authorized users.
- Troubleshooting malfunctions of software applications and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.
- Complete time logs within 48 hours of completing tasks to ensure accurate and timely billing of customers
- Any other duties as assigned by Oxygen 8 Group.
Skills & Requirements
- Commitment to Oxygen8’s East Africa aims, objectives and principles
- 2+ years’ experience as an all-round VAS technician with knowledge and requisites in all networks in the country
- 2+ years’ experience in providing local pay-bill integration solutions
- 2+ years’ experience in USSD solutions setup and integration
- Proactive; able to set challenging personal goals and remain motivated despite obstacles
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Creative, flexible, able to use own initiative to solve problems
- Possesses a “can-do” infectious positive attitude
- Must have a strong integrity, be honest, accountable, reliable and assertive
- Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English and Kiswahili will be an added advantage.
