Position: Tours and Travel Operator
Elite Travel Journeys Africa is seeking to recruit for the above mentioned position immediately.
The ideal candidate should be someone who is articulate, has exceptional customer service skills, possess good writing skills, is able to multi task, and is personable.
Qualifications: Diploma or Certificate in Tours and Travel operations and proficiency in windows applications
Experience: Must have at least 1 year experience
Duty Station: Nairobi
Anticipated Start date: Immediately
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect payment for transportation and accommodations from customer.
- Converse with customers to determine destination, travel dates, financial considerations and accommodation required.
- Compute cost of travel and accommodation using computer, tariff books, hotel rate books or quote tour package costs.
- Book transportation and hotels using computer terminal or via telephone
- Plan, describe, arrange, and sell itinerary tour packages and promotional travel incentives offered by various travel carriers.
- Print or request transportation carrier tickets, using computer printer system or system link to travel carrier.
