Our client in the Manufacturing Industry is looking to hire an Accounts Assistant for a six month contract. The Accounts Assistant will specifically be responsible for the following:
- Making hyper Accounts Collections;
- Preparing batch reconciliations for raw materials and packaging materials;
- Verifying returns;
- Verifying returned invoices;
- Preparing customer statements and doing customer reconciliations;
- Monitoring and posting of stock and doing stock checks through spot checks and stock-take;
- Inspecting stocks invoiced, issued and dispatched on a daily basis;
- Providing effective management accounting data to senior management;
- Producing monthly variance analysis of revenue and expenses and breakdown variances;
- Receiving, preparing and verifying invoices and sales orders;
- Tracking, scanning, and filing customer and supplier invoices;
- Involved in product costing, product movement and pricing;
- Scrutinizing stocks invoiced, issued and dispatched on a daily basis;
- Maintaining and reconciling various general ledger accounts; and
- Any other duties not necessarily mentioned which are in line with your position as an assistant accountant.
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:-
- Should have CPA II and above;
- Must have a strong ability to produce and analyze reports rapidly;
- Demonstrated ability to manage processes and maintain accurate records;
- Ability to work independently and to maintain flexibility in working hours;
- Demonstrate effective organisational skills and ability to handle work in an efficient and timely manner;
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate tasks to meet deadlines;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Ability to write in a clear and concise manner and to communicate effectively orally;
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Quick Books, Internet, and other accounting software)
