Sales and Distributions Supervisor Job

Vacancy Announcement: Sales and Distributions Supervisor Our client in the Manufacturing Industry is looking to hire a Sales and Distribution Supervisor for their organization on a two year renewable contract.


The Sales and Distributions Supervisor will specifically be responsible for the following:-


  • Managing personnel and developing sales and sales support staff;

  • Ensuring that there are no stock outs of products in outlets;

  • Visiting all accounts at least once quarterly;

  • Assisting in recruitment;

  • Ensuring that all customers operate within their credit terms and limit;

  • Performing sales activities on major accounts and negotiate sales price and discounts in consultation with the Executive Director;

  • Reviewing progress of sales roles throughout the company;

  • Accurately forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams;

  • Developing specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company’s products;

  • Providing quarterly results assessments of sales staff’s productivity;

  • Coordinating proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results;

  • Formulating all sales policies, practices and procedures;

  • Assisting sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with top echelon decision-makers;

  • Collaborating with the CEO and Executive Director to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines;

  • Interpreting short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit;

  • Reviewing expenses and recommends economies; and

  • Holding regular meeting with sales staff.


The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:-


  • Minimum of a Diploma /Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field;

  • Minimum of 5 years experience;

  • A passionate, self-confident individual that is professional and result driven;

  • Posses a valid driver’s license;

  • Must be willing to travel;

  • Should have experience in the FMCG;

  • Strong integrity and ability to work within a team;

  • Able to work independently within set parameters;

  • Good negotiation and customer relationship management skills;

  • Good interpersonal skills both with internal and external relationships;

  • Great oral and written communication skills;

  • Good at planning and organizing to ensure priority task management; and

  • It is a two year renewable contract.
