Technical Customer Support Officer Job

Our client a leading FMCGs Manufacturing company in Eastern Africa is currently recruiting qualified candidates for the following position. Technical Customer Support Officer



Reports to: Chief Chemist & Innovation Manager
Working Relationships: Supervisory

Travel: Approximately 30%


Responsibilities




  • Maintaining and promoting regular contact with selected strategic customers to capture opportunities and reinforce image/reputation

  • Conducting technical presentations regarding product range, technologies and offerings at customers, exhibitions and conferences

  • Providing customer support and coordination throughout the life cycle (concept to production)

  • Planning and attending specific technical events and industry trade shows as required

  • Maybe involved in project teams which include participation from other departments and /or external agencies

  • May participate in external seminars and scientific conferences

  • Is responsible for collecting information on customer requirements and trends in the industry


Minimum Qualifications


  • Degree in Chemistry/ Applied chemistry or chemical engineering.

  • 3-5 years of experience in the following industries soda ash, detergents, silicates, glass technology, and other commodity chemicals.

  • Must possess a deep understanding in marketing and customer

  • Ability to work autonomously in a rapidly changing environment

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to ability to work in multispectral/multicultural teams

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with
