Clinical Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Position

Apprenticeship positions being offered in the a dialysis clinic in Nairobi for graduates of biomedical engineering, Electrical and Electronics engineering and Bio chemical engineering. The apprentice will gain practical experience in a hospital setting and will be involved in the servicing, setting up and monitoring dialysis machines and all other supporting equipment. The apprentice will receive formal/informal training in the following: Clinical Health and safety, to operate, maintain and clean the haemodialysis machines and gain practice in performing haemodialysis procedures on patients. Administrative duties will include keeping accurate hazardous and medical waste logs, stocking supplies, running maintenance tests on and analysing water systems, analysing different reports, and distributing supplies. The positions are offered for six months(5day wk)that will leave the candidate with invaluable skill and higher prospects of jobs in the highly demanding industry. A weekly allowance will be offered to cover costs of travel to successful candidates. No prior experience required.
