Community Development Project Manager

URGENT Volunteer opportunity ( Community development project manager) We have an excellent opportunity for a full time Community development Project Manager to work in our organisation located in Bondo Siaya county. Kenya Voluntary & Community Development Project aspires to be a leading community based service provider. We want to build better futures for the orphaned children and our team are key to this success. In this role you will be responsible for the managing day to day running of our centre and delivering projects across our new and existing community projects . You will be expected to deliver a consistent and reliable customer service, ensuring international and local volunteers of KVCDP receive value for their time of service as volunteers , money and a responsive service. You will provide technical expertise for business activities and processes. The hours for this role are quite demanding. Who we are looking for! As a Project manager you will need to demonstrate previous development experience in a volunteer organisation, Local Authority or equivalent environment. You will have knowledge of dealing with children from challenged families, Volunteers of different countries and international cultures are a person of Authority financial and regulatory requirements. You will have experience of community development processes and early childhood education issues. You will have experience of development feasibilities, appraisals and risk analysis. You will have experience of responding positively within an environment of change and service improvements. We are looking for an individual who has the ability to manage and deliver projects within timescales, cost and quality standards. You will also be able to influence and develop relationships with external and internal partners. A good working knowledge of computers and data retention systems. It is desirable but not essential to be educated to degree level in community development and or education background. You must be ready to work in a small village in Bondo- Sub County.
