RIPPLES INTERNATIONAL VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT COOK Position:Cook Ref No: RI/CK/2015 Closing Date: 10/06/2015 Ripples International (RI) is a registered, Christian organization. Our mission is to serve children through community focused initiatives in partnership with stakeholders as inspired by the teaching of Jesus Christ. We have established a Christian School in Meru to serve children and therefore seek to recruit suitable, qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Cook. JOB PROFILE The basic responsibility is to: Hygienically preparing meals for the children and school staff according to the menu Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen at all times Ensuring that all meals are served at the set time and tables are cleared after every meal Cleaning of utensils after every meal to enhance cleanliness Requesting for food and other cleaning items on time to avoid stock out Other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor. PERSONAL PROFILE The following knowledge, skills and abilities may be acquired through combination of formal training, schooling, self-education, prior experience or on the job the job training: Must be a mature born again Christian, actively involved in the activities of a local church. Must a holder of a KCSE Certificate with at least a Certificate in Catering or Food Beverage with experience in the same field. Must have a valid medical Certificate. Must have a current Certificate of Good Conduct, NSSF, NHIF and PIN Certificates Possess excellent organization and time management skills, ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Adaptability, flexibility: able to work with minimum supervision and long extra hours. This may include weekends and holidays when necessary or as requested by supervisor or management.
