- Source & prospect for potential loan applicants (potential customers)
- Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications
- Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
- Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants’ credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information as & when needed
- Explain to potential customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services and to answer questions about the process
- Review loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy
- Refer loan applications to management for approval & ensure that they are approved within reasonable time
- Handle customer complaints & take appropriate action to resolve them
- Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products to better meet customers’ needs
- Review and update credit & loan files
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies and Experience:
- Knowledge of proposal writing, budgeting, statistics and business management
- Knowledge of Marketing & Effective selling skills
- Well conversant with IT & all programs related to Microsoft Office especially excel
- Capable of operating office equipment; like scanners, binders, telephones, etc.
- Self-driven and result oriented
- Well organized and able to works with minimal supervision
Requirements
- Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Business Administration knowledge of consultancy business and financial management matters is desirable
- At least 3 years work experience in a busy office preferably a financial institution such as a SACCO, bank or cooperative society.
