International Medical Corps currently implements projects in various counties in Kenya. International Medical Corps is seeking candidates to fill the following positions to support Nutrition Program.
Program Assistant – Nutrition Nairobi Scope of Work – Essential Duties
- Provide assistance in nutrition projects planning and implementation, and management.
- Represent IMC in national forums, provide feedback and support in follow-up of actions
- Maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders and IMC partners, including MOH, NGOs, and UN agencies.
- Support in reviewing program progress reports, funding proposals and documentation on best practices and lessons learnt within agreed timelines.
- Establish internal databases; sets up files (electronic and paper), stores and manages data and information relevant to the scope of programme/project activities.
- Work with other departments’ e.g. HR and admin, finance and logistics to enhance program support
- Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of programme/projects;
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must have a Minimum qualification of BSc in nutrition, proven technical and administrative skills
- Registered with the relevant professional body e.g KNDI.
- At least one year working with NGOs in complex emergency context.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in emergency nutrition program in a limited resource setting.
- Strong negotiation and representational skills.
- Excellent team building, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer literate
- Flexible for Frequent travel to the field
