Livestock Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, implement and coordinate all activities in the livestock department including breeding, vaccination, feed and pasture programs.
- Formulate and implement policies and procedures that ensures the department is profitable and adhere to any statutory requirements.
- Promote animal health, prevent health problems and attend to any sick animals.
- Carry out feed formulation.
- Manage staff, machinery and equipment in the department.
Qualifications
- BVM degree. Must be registered and retained with Kenya Veterinary Board.
- Minimum 5 years hand on experience with dairy animals.
- Must have passion for animals.
- Previous experience in value addition will be an added advantage.
