Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Tracking progress and key milestones of improvement projects such as Kaizen events, Green Belt and Black belt projects including reporting man hours invested and project benefits
- Lead (in a hands-on manner) the continuous improvement efforts/projects on the production floor, such as Lean Manufacturing initiatives, 5S, &/or 6-Sigma.
- Ensuring that the appropriate Standard Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures and flow charts are in place for the shop floor employees.
- Ensuring Time Studies and Motion Studies are completed, including material flow through the plant.
- Champions and schedules Kaizen/lean events and implements 5-S throughout the plant.
- Delivering Job Evaluations and Work Assessments to evaluate Indirect Labor performance and human capital allocation.
- Train or coordinate training of black belts, green belts, blue belts and TPM teams
