Job Title: Control / Instrument Technician
Purpose Statement: Provide maintenance services to the instrumentation systems to optimize production.
Job Duties:
- Install, maintain, repair, overhaul, calibrate and test a variety of industrial instrumentation that record, indicate and regulate flow, pressure, weight, temperature, position and moisture content.
- Troubleshoot process controller hardware and resolve.
- Make periodic preventative maintenance inspections of control instruments.
- Implement new ideas bordering on instrumentation to improve process optimization.
- Maintain accurate records in respect to plant and equipment including equipment modifications.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
- A diploma in Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
- KCSE score of C plain or above.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a heavy process or manufacturing industry.
- Good communication, interpersonal and planning skills.
