Our client a manufacturing firm in Nyeri is seeking to recruit a Technical Operator urgently who will operate and maintain the machines during the shift to achieve set targets and quality.

- Operate the machine to achieve the line capacity for different product standards/SKUs
- Ensure Data Sheets are filled at required intervals and monitor for any deviation from the required.
- In case of deviations from the required parameters, inform production supervisor and carry out trouble shooting to establish and arrest the cause of deviations.
- Performs daily checks on machines and report of any hazards in order to maximize on machine availability by ensuring minimal downtimes.
- Liaise with the laboratory personnel to ensure that product parameters are met in order to avoid production of off spec product.
- Responsible for safety both for self and others in the section by adhering to safe operations and highlighting any safety issues that arise
- Adhere to factory policies in place e.g. food safety, fire fighting etc
- Participate in the review of data sheet/checklists.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene at the area of operation.
- Carry out autonomous, preventive and corrective maintenance
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Food Technology.
- 2 years experience in a busy manufacturing industry preferably FMCG
