Vacancy: Floor Manager – Food
Duties and Responsibilities;
- Develop and Implement strategies to meet sales targets
- Develop and Implement strategies to meet GP targets
- Monitor wastage and develop and implement methods to reduce wastage
- Develop and implement shrinkage controls
- Manage expenses within budgets
- Optimize sales/m2 by setting targets per product category
- Evaluate rate of sales / product category and implement recommendations for improvement
- Identify ideal stock levels per product category
- Determine range per product category
- Evaluate ordering records per product category in relation to rate of sale
- Evaluate delivery schedules and implement recommendations for improvement on a monthly basis
- Conduct spot checks of products received x2 per day
- Implement category stock counts cyclical schedule and investigate variances
- Manage Swell allowance within given parameters
- Develop methods to improve stock turns
- Conduct spot checks across departments
- Conduct spot checks and develop methods to improve accuracy of pricing on shelf. Spot check sales floor to ensure all products have neat and tidy prices displayed
- Analyze price surveys and determine key lines that require price adjustment and implement accordingly
- Theme POS. is neat and tidy and removed once the theme is over (e.g. Easter)
- Design promotional concept to appeal to target market (i.e bulk displays/wet demos/in store activity/etc.)
- Verify promotional orders regarding quantities / timing
- Spot check promotional items are accurately inputted onto the system
- Two-way price checking to be done daily
- Spot check POS and develop ways to ensure that POS is up to date and accurate
- Spot check prices and develop ways to ensure accurate prices at all times
- Spot check prices, to keep close to the opposition. Inform the buyer of any concerns
- Evaluate stock levels according to rate of sales and duration of promotion to reduce insufficient / surplus stock
- Determine successes and failures for each promotion and feedback to the buyer
- Weekly across product categories
- Conduct spot checks daily to ensure all stock is clean, properly packaged and neatly displayed
- All floors to be kept clean, neat and tidy at all times
- Conduct spot checks to ensure that all ticketing is clean and tidy.
- All products are clearly priced
- Ensure all units are clean and no spillages has been left unattended.
- Ensure all trolleys and baskets are kept clean at all times
- Ensure monthly OHASA meetings are conducted in line with the store
- As per company policy and procedures
- Implements and monitors training interventions as per internal company requirements
