Software Account Executive Job Description: The goal of the Software Account Ex (SAE) is to generate new business opportunities from existing customers and by prospecting a local territory for new customers.
The job encompasses selling accounting and project management software solutions to construction companies. Job Objective: The Software Account Executive (SAE) serves as a sales support role to the regional Territory Manager.
This person will be responsible for all sales activities from lead generation to closing. The SAM will follow an agreed upon sales plan and objectives to drive revenue, customer satisfaction, and long term account growth with company vision and values in mind. Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify through cold calling and lead development new business opportunities
- Responsible to meet activity objectives assigned by Territory Manager
- Be able to explain in detail the current software and services the company offers
- Develop and maintain industry knowledge
- Must be able to multi-task and have strong communication skills – both written and oral using communication tools provided by the company
- Relationships and Roles:
- Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of Client Satisfaction
- Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry influencers such as CPA’s and sales Agents
- Will be actively involved in local trade associations by attending their meetings and events
Job Requirements:
- Must be self-motivated, ambitious and possess a desire to succeed
- Entry level to 1 years of experience in any of the following; outside sales, software sales, accounting and/or software products sales
- Knowledge of the ERP industry is a plus
- Strong desire to learn new software applications and their benefits to our customers.
- Willingness to travel locally
- Proven ability to achieve sales quota
- College degree preferred
