Job Summary: A leading Audit Firm based in Rwanda seeks to recruit an Audit Senior .
Reporting to Managers and Partners, the holder will serve as the In-Charge for several small and medium general Audit clients and will be required to provide guidance and supervision to less experienced staff.
They will be responsible for supervising the annual audits and review engagements including all aspects of financial statement preparation, internal staffing of engagements, project scheduling and budgeting, planning of the engagement and related administrative functions.
Major Responsibilities & Duties:
- Lead client audit engagements, which include planning executing, directing, and completing financial audits.
- Begin to develop generally accepted accounting principles and accounting and reporting rules, where applicable, and financial statement presentation.
- A thorough understanding of ISAs’ and common audit procedures and techniques.
- Supervise, train and mentor associates and interns on audit process.
- Research and analyze financial statement and audit related issues.
- Acquire a working knowledge of the client’s business.
- Proactively interact with key client’s management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
- Perform other job related duties as necessary.
Requirements & Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following basic qualifications:
- Over three years’ experience in external audits as a senior (public accounting experience) within a midsize firm.
- Experience with engagement management, audit and review skills and staff supervision are required
- Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Organized professional with strong technical and interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively with clients and staff.
- Candidate will need to be able to multi task as planning, executing and wrapping up various engagements may have to be performed concurrently.
- Ability to perform research on technical matters prior to submitting for Manager/Partner review is essential.
- Possess a degree in Accounting or related discipline
- Be a qualified CPA (K) or ACCA.
- Be 27-35 years of age
Salary Range & Benefits:
- A nett of US$ 1,200 per month.
- A shared Company house will be provided.
- One return air ticket per year
