We are currently recruiting in Kenya for our client a leading Pharmaceutical company.
General Manager
Salary 500,000 and above ( very negotiable depending with the candidate experience)
Nature of Work: Reporting to the Board of Directors,
General Manager Main Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing appropriate sales, production & HR strategies, plans & control systems.
- Preparing & implementing financial budgets in line with company strategy.
- Ensuring quality & cost effective utilization of machines, materials & staff & workers.
- Maintaining required health & safety standards in line with statutory regulations.
- Forecasting , preparing and procuring required resources.
- Handling transport logistics.
- Monitoring KPIs and maintaining data collection system to provide regular feedback.
- Presentation of monthly Management Information Reports to Directors.
- Setting short/medium term objectives for all departments & conducting appraisals.
- Ensuring full productivity of every member of the Organisation.
- Conducting training sessions to continuously develop the employees of the organisation.
- Be involved in recruitment of new Team members.
- Initiating & implementing TQM/TPM ;HACCP and other relevant techniques for improvement of Operations.
- Initiating & implementing ISO certification.
- Steering research programs for new products /projects/ methods.
Education Experience / Knowledge, Skills and Abilities for engineer job
- A Kenyan National or Expatriate with vast Kenyan experience.
- Should be a graduate chemical engineer with a minimum of 10 yrs
- experience in chemical manufacturing and held a senior management position
- Will be responsible for production, maintenance and Administration.
- 5 years relevant experience in a large/multinational company in manufacturing or food processing industry.
- Thorough knowledge of Operating activities of Food processing.
- Sound technical abilities in manufacturing processes.
- Ability to manage people with a keen eye on Costs & Quality.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & MS Outlook (esp. Task management).
- Ability to grow new and existing markets and maintain the market share.
- Willing to take on challenges with the ability to train.
- Good people management skills, Good communication skills, verbal & written.
- Aggressive, but diplomatic, Task & Solution oriented.
