Vacancy: Financial Controller
Responsibilities
- Formulating, implementing and maintaining sound financial policies, procedures and systems
- Developing and maintaining proper internal controls in order to minimize identified risks
- Ensure preparation of budgets (annual and project wise), cash flows and periodic financial performance and variance analysis reports including monthly management accounts.
- Liaising with external auditors to ensure thorough audit of the companies financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards
- Managing statutory returns and deadlines and ensuring adherence with all regulations
- Ensuring effective and efficient management of cash flows
- Ensure efficient revenue billing, collections, expenditure approvals, payroll processing, stocks accounting and reporting
- Develop, maintain and appraise a highly trained and effective finance team
- Must have a sound knowledge of the Kenyan tax laws.
- CPA (K)/ACCA
- Degree in accounting or finance
- 10 Years of experience of which 5 must be in a similar position overseeing finance
- Experience in a construction company environment
