MAC Resident Trainer Nairobi,KEN Job Body Ensures Customer and Market Growth: • Provide Retail Employee Support by: • Working as a M.A.C Artist at base store/s. • Setting an example of professionalism, customer service and makeup artistry. • Answering questions pertaining to customer service and product knowledge while at counters. • Identifying training needs with Retail Managers and meeting those needs through one-on-one support. • Communicating with Retail Manager regarding staff performance, ability and morale. • Enhance the Skill Level of M.A.C Artists by: • Observing and modifying, if necessary, the makeup art abilities and customer service skill levels. • Evaluating training needs and suggesting methods of addressing these needs at the counter to the Retail Manager. • Conducting and maintaining records of Skills Certifications of all Retail Employees at the location(s). • Communicating training needs and accomplishments regularly to the Trainer and/or National Artist Training Manager. • Assist the Product Specialists to develop in-store training for new products and theme days/counter events schedules.
Manages Operational Effectiveness: • Facilitate Fashion Shows and Special Events as requested by: • Participating and assisting with fashion shows and special events, as required. • Identifying opportunities for M.A.C participation in-store events, working with the Retail Manager to execute the event. • Providing event training to Artists and Freelancers prior to their event
Improves Business Processes: • Participate in Professional Development by: • Attending and participating in various development trainings. • Attending monthly staff meetings and participating by presenting independent ideas and concepts, discussing departmental developments and coaching and supporting others. • Provide Information Regularly to Retail Manager by: • Assisting with the assessment of the effectiveness of at the counter training initiatives e.g. in-store support, one-on-one consultations. • Identifying and communicating training needs. • Maintain current and accurate records of training and certification.
Lead and develop yourself and team: • Ensure Educational Objectives of Artist Training are met by: • Assisting as required, with the facilitation of the core training modules including Basic Training, M.A.C Total Service Experience, Creative Workshops, M.A.C Update, Orientation, Ultimate Make-Up Seminars
Requirements: Must be a Kenyan citizen May be required to travel into SSA as and when required Job Activities * The Resident Trainer performs the responsibilities of a M.A.C Artist and 50% of his/her time is spent at the counter as a Retail Artist. * Approximately 50% of the Resident Trainer’s time is dedicated to conducting training at the counter or stores within their responsibility. * The Resident Trainer will also be an assistant to the Trainer during Basic and Product Update Trainings as required. Experience Required * Experience in training/educating * At least 12 months experience as a Full Time Retail Artist at MAC * Minimum Application Certified
