Our Client is the largest manufacturer and exporter of corporate branded materials in the region, and they are seeking to hire additional Sales Executives . The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships, servicing existing clients while prospecting for new business.
He / She will be expected to seek out sales opportunities and disseminate relevant and up-to-date information about the business to potential clients in order to drive sales so as to meet / exceed set targets. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this incumbent will be based in Nairobi at the Industrial Area.

- Prospect for new business in assigned market segments with the aim of meeting/surpassing the set sales targets.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers via face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails.
- Identify new markets / potential customers, make cold call to arrange sales meetings and work with them to develop optimal promotional packages.
- Prepare quotations, close sales and negotiate sales terms in a manner that safe-guards profit margins.
- Investigate any latent customer needs that are not being addressed by the current product offering and propose solutions, taking into consideration, the customer’s specifications, requirement or suggestions.
- Submit sales itineraries to the Sales Manager for consideration and approval and compile sales reports highlighting issues encountered and proposing solutions.
- Continually monitor competitor activities and provide feedback to the Sales Manager for action.
- Receive and record complaints/concerns raised by clients and liaise with the Sales Manager to ensure that they are investigated and necessary internal action is taken.
- Represent the organization at trade exhibitions, events and shows.
- Develop and maintain a contacts database and continually update it with contact and activity details.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales reports and projections, review own sales performance and take actions to meet or exceed targets.
Desired Education Background, Experience, Competencies and Skills;
- A Degree in Business Management or equivalent, a diploma in sales/ marketing/customer service is an advantage.
- Minimum 2 –3 years sales experience in business to business sales.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills including customer service skills.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Strong organizational, business planning and reporting skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and Computer literacy.
- A confident and determined approach and ability and desire to sell.
- A high degree of self-motivation and drive; with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
