Job description
The Associate is a fully participating member of most stages of the deal process. They develop models, perform complex analyses, and work on due diligence of potential investment opportunities. They are also involved in managing partner companies, both at the strategic and operational aspects of the business.
- Involved in the deal evaluation process of an investment opportunity.
- Develop complex financial models, perform sensitivity analysis and stress testing to examine the impacts on valuation.
- Assist in managing the due diligence process and participate in commercial, strategic, operational, financial and legal due diligence including customer reference checks, meetings with industry experts and consultants. Prepare financial projections post due diligence.
- Assist and provide inputs in the transaction execution and deal structuring for investments. .
- Involved in the preparation of deal presentations and investment memos including input into management structures, competitive landscape, and growth strategies within the value creation plan (VCP) and 100 day plans to meet investment opportunity goals.
- Assisting management of partner companies (ParCo) in various business development capacities and financial analysis.
- Portfolio management activities, including preparation of company descriptions and reports required for internal and external reporting.
- Assist in evaluating strategic options and exit scenarios
Desired Skills and Experience
- BS in Finance, Accounting Economics, Business Administration & Political Science.
- Preferably MBA/ MS Finance or professional qualification (eg. CFA, CPA)
- +4 years experience with in private equity or investment bankin
- Able to understand and clearly articulate an investment thesis. Shows ability to guide analysts engaged in financial modeling, analysis and research. Is consistently contributing to DD process.
- Adds value to the commercial understanding and investment theses of deals/opportunities. Demonstrates a strong appetite to understand the commercial implications of his/her work and the wider context.
- Ability to establish strong working relationship with ParCo Management.
