Role Summary/Purpose: | Our Talent Recruitment team is at the heart of our ability to attract and hire the very best talent available to drive our continued growth. We are seeking to hire a Recruitment Manager to lead the Talent Recruitment team for East Africa. |
Essential Responsibilities: | You will lead recruitment for East Africa, predominately Ethiopia and Kenya, to deliver high quality external talent for GE businesses based on planned hires and increasing business growth. As the regional Recruitment Manager you will be responsible for partnering with all businesses in East Africa and ensuring headcount and talent plans are converted into on time hires, delivering the targets and metrics- Partner with businesses to gather specific customer needs related to recruitment and develop strategic recruitment plan for region focused on commercial growth - Ensure delivery of team against targets and metrics, particularly hiring cycle time - Develop talent sourcing strategy utilizing multiple hiring channels to deliver local candidates - Partner with internal customers to develop long term talent pipelining - Drive proactive talent acquisition activity and headhunting in region - Lead process transformation, process improvement and simplification projects - Share best practice and develop broader SSA recruitment team knowledge and skills - Support University and development program hiring |
Qualifications/Requirements: | - Minimum 8 years’ plus relevant recruitment/HR experience- Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills - Excellent consultative account management and business partnering skills with stakeholders at all levels - Must be detailed oriented, organised and able prioritize complex multiple tasks and projects - Proven ability to work well in a fast paced and complex organization - Must be able to develop and implement complex processes across multiple locations and businesses - Metric and SLA focused - Process and compliance focused - Demonstrable strategic thought-leadership, vision and innovation to drive improved performance, recruitment processes and tools - Strong business acumen - Expert in current technology which supports the identification, acquisition and on boarding of top talent using a broad range of creative sourcing channels, including data mining, advertising, direct research, networking and internet and database search - Able to travel within region |

Desired Characteristics: | - Familiarity with recruitment management systems, preferably Kenexa Brassring - Engineering and technical recruitment experience - Knowledge of local labour legislation and requirements - External Vendor management experience - Project management skills - Degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field |
