Procurement and Supply Chain Analyst
One (1) Position Reports To:
Group Head of Procurement Supervision: Buyer
Broad Function: Support group procurement strategy to achieve the objectives of lowering costs of critical goods and services while reducing supplier risk and increasing supplier value.
- Developing and tracking procurement metrics including areas of spending, requisition to pay process, operational efficiencies and supplier performance.
- Monitoring supply markets and market/cost drivers and share insights and benchmarks from the industry with key stakeholders and senior management.
- Identifying areas of potential risk or opportunity and present recommendations to management.
- Improving procurement performance through research and analysis of price /innovation trends for goods and services procured by the group.
- Providing detailed analysis and information which may have financial, technical and or legal impact and sourcing decisions.
- Participating in supplier selection, bid evaluation and post tender negotiation process.
- Providing expertise in the development and implementation of enterprise wide procurement processes and systems including documentation.
- Evaluating and measuring vendor performance to ensure performance meets contracts commitment.
- Providing the business units with critical logistical and administrative information and support necessary to plan and budget their needs.
- Measuring accurate and efficient execution of procurement to ensure that all sourcing activities comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Identifying cost reduction opportunities through process automation, variety reduction and standardization and supply base and purchasing cycle rationalization.
- Facilitating management reporting on procurement key performance indicators.
Skills Required:
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or relevant field
Professional Qualifications
- CIPS
Minimum Years of Experience
- 5 years experience 3 of which must have been at management level.
Competencies
- Knowledge of purchasing, planning supplier interface and negotiations.
- Strong analytical capabilities in business analysis and problem solving.
- Excellent presentations and quantitative skills.
- High level of integrity
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
