SITE Enterprise Promotion Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer Job in Nairobi Kenya


Vacancy: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer SITE Enterprise Promotion, a Kenya development organization based in Nairobi is seeking to recruit a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning officer.


The incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of the organization’s MEL strategies, covering various programmes – agriculture and livestock value chains, livelihoods and business service market development; and working with respective programme teams to upgrade individual projects MEL frameworks.



Further the MEL officer will be responsible for:


  • Reviewing and strengthening type and quality of data collected, its recording and storage.

  • Strengthening systems for processing and systematically collecting, reviewing and using beneficiary and stakeholder feedback to enhance programme delivery.

  • Assisting in gathering technical updates on program planning, monitoring, evaluation and research.

  • Developing tools and strategies to improve evidence based programming.

  • Contributing to the preparation and implementation of projects work plans and technical quarterly and annual reports on the programmes.

  • Compilation and analysis of data for performance monitoring, learning and evaluation to allow teams to maintain a good overview of programme performance.


Prospective Candidate will possess:


  • A Master’s degree in M&E, statistics, agriculture economics, or related field.

  • A Bachelors degree with 5 years’ experience in MEL will be considered.

  • Proven experience with logical framework approach, information analysis and report writing.

  • At least 3 years professional experience in the design/development of MEL delivery within development context/sectors.

  • Hands-on knowledge of business development strategies
