Vacancy: Chef de Partie – Baker
Purpose: The purpose of the job is to make breads and other baked food stuffs. The Ideal candidate must have experience in a luxury / international standard hotel and able to delight customers through quality standards.
Duties
- Excellent preparation and presentation of baked foods.
- Training junior kitchen staff members.
- Ensure the kitchen remains clean and organized at all times.
- Perform various administrative duties.
- Develop test and cost new menu items and give advice
- Supervise preparation of all bakery items.
- Regularly supervise the quantity and quality of bakery items.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a recognized hotel.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of health & safety measures.
- Must have inventory Control skills.
- Must be detail orientated.
- Must be committed to excellent customer service.
- Must have excellent communication & organizational skills.
- Presentable / well groomed
- Diploma in Food Production-Preferably from Utalii college/ Top Chef
