Vacancy: Accountant The Role
: To ensure that the company meets its financial obligations. Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintaining and reconciliation of petty cash.
- Accurate and timely posting in the Accounting system and reconciliation of all operations. (E.g. sales, purchases, expenses and banking.)
- Cash & cheques receipting.
- Filing of documents.
- En-cashing of weekly requisitions.
- Raise payment vouchers.
- Banking and Bank reconciliation.
- Ensuring that proper and accurate accounting records are maintained and adequate internal controls are in place.
- Ensuring timely preparation and payment of salaries.
- Statutory compliance – ensure that the company complies with the law through processing of trade licenses (including renewals)
- Identify short/long-term financial needs through cash budgeting.
- Timely Statutory payments.
- Financial management of the entire organization through development of financial growth plans.
- Co-coordinating interim and final audits.
- Finance correspondences to different stakeholders e.g. banks, suppliers and ensuring healthy relationship.
- Monthly projections and debt collections.
- Ensure all statutory are paid when due.
- Any other duty that may be allocated to you from time to time.
Qualifications
- At least CPA K
- At least 3 years relevant job experience in accounts in large organizations.
- Comfortable working alone and good at self-managing his own time
- Able to work across the functions or departments
- Very Mature and presentable individuals
- Must be of high integrity; work with minimum supervision, result driven and self-motivated
- Experience in QuickBooks, sage and Pastel
