To assist in the preparation and presentation of GSAM management information to allow GSAM management to make informed decisions based on high quality financial information. | |
Key Roles & Responsibilities | |
• Prepare periodical returns for the department for onward submission to Group GSAM and Local • Reconcile Transactional Reports to General Ledger • Assist in preparation of Special Assets Review Reports and Request For Action • Prepare reports and maintain record on GSAM forecast and actual revenues, costs, provisions, releases. • Assist in the preparation of the monthly information pack for GSAM Heads and others as and when requested. • Maintain GSAM record • Ensure timely update of data in Amadeus • Ensure GSAM numbers reported by Finance are accurate • Ensure BCP and BIA in place for the unit • Analyse of variances relating to Net Debt position of GSAM portfolio • Attend to routine correspondence relating to accounts transferred to GSAM, change of ARM codes, credit cards, security details. • Ensure all matters relating to staff and portfolios are in full compliance with all banking laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures • Collate data to prepare GSAM recoveries for write back to Interest in suspense and provisions • Work closely with the Account Managers with a view to learning account management skills • Perform the monthly KCSA checks on time • Schedule GSAM committee meetings and take minutes • Ensure updated GSAM related policies are held on file • Capture all court cases relating to GSAM accounts • Perform role of the unit UORM as described in the UORM’s Job Description • Ensure you remain alert to the risk of money laundering and assist in the Banks efforts in combating it by adhering to the key principles in relation to: identifying your customer, knowing your customer, reporting suspicions, safeguarding records and not disclosing suspicions to customers | |
Qualifications & Skills | |
• Accounting Knowledge • Credit Knowledge • Overall Banking Product Knowledge • Tertiary academic qualification and /or extensive practical know- how in accounting, finance and banking practice and theory regarding debt recovery. • Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing and keen to details. • An ability and willingness to exercise initiative, make decisions, exercise responsibility and accept accountability for actions taken and decisions made. • Ability to organize and manage time, be able to set priorities among numerous demands |
