BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) HR Coordinator – East Africa in 110 Kenya



Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, Africa, the HR Coordinator is expected to build high personal credibility by forming relationship of trust, excellent communication within the organisation and respect by delivering results. The HR Coordinator will lead all HR processes under supervision of the HR Manager, Africa and will support managers in people management. *Key Responsibilities




• Organisational planning and business partnering o Defining organisational and individual capabilities needs


o Developing workforce plan and organisation structure


o Supporting resourcing and other strategic business decisions


o Advising managers on local labour market and employment in specific markets • Talent Management o Identifying the best communication channels to attract talents


o Leading recruitment process


o Cooperating with recruitment agencies


o Leading internal succession planning


o Coordinating talent training and development programs • Performance Management o Coordination of performance planning and reviews


o Training and coaching associates and managers regarding process • On-boarding of new associates


• Managing employee communications and relations


• Coordination of training plans for local teams


• Compensation & Benefits planning and administration and coordination of year-end salary process


• Personnel data administration


• Statutory reporting


• Planning and leading implementation of strategic HR projects for Africa.


*Education and Qualifications




Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in human resources management or related field Professional Skills and Experience


• Must have at least 3 years proven success in HR with strong generalist experience.


• Experience in variety of employment matters and good knowledge of Kenyan labour law


• Experience managing HR processes (Selection & Recruitment, Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits etc.)


• Experience with personnel data management and administration of various HR Systems *Other Requirements:




• Ability to work autonomously,


• Capability of independently generating, prioritizing, planning and meeting commitments.


• Maturity and ability to build personal credibility and trustful HR environment


• People orientation, showing respect and strong desire to improve customer satisfaction


• Excellent strong interpersonal and communication skills


• Drive for generating and implementing new work solutions that will improve HR service quality


• Attention to details , effective analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills


• Team player, ability to influence others


• Cross-cultural awareness, personal integrity and high ethical values


• Self-motivation with a desire for self-development


• Good presentation skills and computer skills (experience in working with different HR systems, IT tools)


• Ability to organize and manage programs, training, workshops.


• Fluency in English (spoken and written).


• Able to work independently and prepared for travel within the region
