Key Responsibilities;
Talent and Capability Development Business Plans
Achieving the overall East Africa region business plans by impacting on talent and capabilities in East Africa Supply Chain
Cost Effective Management of Budgets
Accountability for managing and ensuring the efficient and effective use of the Kenya supply training budget.
Stakeholder Relationship Management
Managing a range of relationships with key stakeholders across East Africa and other functions. Stakeholders being key to delivering the capability one plan.
Talent Development
Support the development and deployment of Unilever talent management tools and strategies that delivers a breakthrough in the quality and depth of the talent pipeline. This included development and execution of training “World Class Manufacturing” across supply with financial guidelines for Unilever Kenya and supporting the plan development for other sites in EA.
Training Systems
Implement and manage the CAP system (Competency Acquisition Process) in Unilever, which is aligned to the EA Hub, including ongoing development and coordination of internal trainers and assessors in support of CAP.
Manage an auditable training system in line with requirements of ISO standards and support the company’s maintenance of integrated management system.
Leadership Development Centres
Co-ordinate and support the EA Supply Development Centers which focuses on developing a focused group of individuals who understand the business needs & are clear on performance as well as leadership development expectations.
Unilever Future Leadership Program
Support the Supply UFL Development Program through collaboration with local and global HR teams to develop young talent through strong governance of the leadership program.
Manage a steering committee comprised of Unilever Kenya executives to make key decisions regarding the graduate program.
People Capability Building in New Projects
Steer capability development agendas for new company expansion projects though development and execution of a framework that focuses on improvements of people capability.
Key Skills and Qualifications
A Degree in Engineering from a reputable institution
5-7 years’ experience in capability development in Supply Chain/Manufacturing
World class manufacturing practices
General Operations & Productivity
Internal audit management systems
Project Management skills
