Underwriting Assistant – Medical
Job Purpose: A key role in Underwriting, Medical Business
Duties & Responsibilities
- Processing of membership movements (new members and exits)
- Preparing premium debit/credit notes, members schedules and premium statements and dispatch the same to clients.
- Ensuring renewal notices are dispatched to clients and intermediaries.
- Policy renewal – membership update and premium costing
- Preparing and issuing policy documents and renewal endorsements.
- Efficient administration and maintenance of outpatient fund accounts.
- Prompt collection of outstanding premiums for allocated policies.
- Preparing scheme performance reports and advising on adverse trends
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or any other Business related field.
- (Actuarial Science an added advantage)
- KCSE Grade C+ and above.
Professional Qualifications
- Good progress in AIIK or ACII
Relevant Work Experience
- 2 Year experience in the insurance industry particularly Medical underwriting.
Skills, Knowledge and Competencies
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
