Marketing Job Summary


Our client is the new brand & marketing consulting firm for Africa. They strive to provide fresh strategic thinking & practical execution support for clients across all industries.


Job Purpose

Ensure the smooth day to day organization and operation of your accounts. Must work closely with the Account Manager and keep them well informed at all times.


Primary Responsibilities

Tasks will involve but not limited to:



  • Assist the Account Manager as necessary, in all aspects of his/her work

  • Day to day contact with client

  • Contribute to strategy development, ensuring work is done on strategy

  • Should be in charge of brand filing and must ensure that copies of all main documents and paperwork are filed correctly.

  • Responsible for booking all the people, travel arrangements and facilities for meetings.

  • Planning and administering meetings and presentations – preparing and circulating agendas. Should ensure that the agreed agenda is circulated at least 24 hours before the meeting.

  • Ensuring work is completed according to an agreed time plan committed to by the client and agency.

  • Ensure that Production Department is aware of the initiation of new work in order that both a timing plan can be agreed and job number opened.

  • Issuing Weekly Status Reports & Requisitions. Responsible in ensuring that the Contact Reports are sent to client no later than forty eight hours after the meeting.

  • Preparing and maintaining Work-lists.

  • Maintaining Brand Books, including a current file of competitive advertising. Alternatively ensuring this is done by the media department

  • Ensure that client and agency personnel details are kept up-to-date.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all the necessary materials required for meetings have been checked and approved.

  • Always ensure clients products and competition’s is available in the agency.

  • Co-ordinate finance administration by ensuring estimates, LPO’S and invoicing is done in a timely manner

  • Responsible for checking Production estimates for accuracy, confirm with Account Supervisor before presenting for clients

  • Responsible for authorizing Media bookings by completing a media booking instruction form.

  • Follow-up with clients to get estimate costs signed/approved (signed LPO’s where required) before commencement of a job.


Marketing Job Education



  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (preferably in marketing or communications)


Experience and Skills



  • Minimum of 1 year experience in account executive position

  • Proficiency in computer literacy – Ms Word, Ms Excel, and Ms PowerPoint
