Key Responsibilities



  • Producing information by transcribing, formatting, editing, retrieving, copying text and other data in correct legal layout and format as required.

  • Reading and verifying documentation vis-à-vis historical proceedings as contained in individual client files.

  • Providing support to the advocates in ensuring documents are properly drafted (grammatically).

  • Dealing with client queries and/or requests in a polite, effective and efficient manner.

  • Representing advocates by communicating and obtaining information required on clients files.

  • Following-up on delegated assignments; knowing when to act and when to refer matters to the advocates.

  • Progressively recording and tracking revenue by preparing invoices, tracking payments and documenting statements of account for clients.

  • Maintaining confidentiality of client information


Legal Secretary Job Requirements



  • Diploma in Business Administration/ Law or equivalent.

  • At least three years experience in a similar capacity.

  • Ability to work independently in the absence of specific instructions.

  • Good planning and organizing skills.

  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good follow up skills.
